Now, I read both olympian’s tweets and have this to say.
Voula Papachristou, the greek triple jumper. What she said was NOT racist. It was a bit offensive, and just overall not smart. But not racist. Mainly because she did refer to the african immigrants as inferior in any way. The west nile virus is of African origin, and a lot of Africans were there. So she just made a comparison in a offensive semi humorous manner.
The tweet itself
“With so many Africans in Greece… At least the West Nile mosquitoes will eat home made food!!!”
Now with the swiss soccer player, Michel Morganella. That shit was racist. Racist as shit. She definitely attempted to degrade south koreans in general and refereed to them as being inferior as being so. It was overall nasty and hateful.
His tweet has no official translations. But from what I’ve seen from a couple of different places it said something about south koreans “can go burn, and they are a bunch of mongoloids, or mental retards”
So yea, that’s fucking racist.
Hers was not.
Did he deserve to get kicked out? Hmm, harsh, but yea. Can’t have that kind of behavior running around.
Now did the triple jumper deserve to get kicked out? No, I don’t think so.
Soooooooooooo, no. Her shit was racist. If it was “comparison in a offensive semi humorous manner”…then that is racist. If it can be misconstrued as racist, it’s racist. If it can hurt someone’s feelings due to its racist undertones, then it is racist. If you can see the offense in it, then it is racist. And not a single country needs people like those two representing them. I think it was a great message they got kicked out of the Olympics. And if he got kicked out, so should she. If the crime fits for one, it fits for both. And I know it’s your opinion, but smh at you for real.
If you were walking home alone, and I happened to be walking behind you, maybe texting on my phone or with headphones in. Would you be afraid?
According to “aboutmaleprivilege” all women are afraid in this situation and I want to know, is this true?
Idk about other women, but this is definitely true for me
It honestly depends on your demeanor. I’m almost never afraid of walking home alone, but if you’re sketchy as fuck, doing sketchy as fuck things, trying to talk to me, walking real close…fuck yes. But if you’re just doing you and walking alone too, then no.
